The former Kil-Tone Company manufactured arsenic-based pesticides from the late 1910s to the late 1930s at a facility, which was located at 527 East Chestnut Avenue in a mixed-use area (residential and commercial). Elevated concentrations of arsenic and/or lead have been identified in soil on the former facility property itself, and at various residential and non-residential properties surrounding the former facility. Major COCs include arsenic, lead, VOCs, SVOCs, pesticides, and PCBs.

Sevenson was the self-performing prime contractor on two Task Orders. Work activities included site-wide waste characterization; collection/coordination of all pre-excavation and confirmatory samples; excavation of 26,875 CY of contaminated material from 83 residential and industrial properties utilizing precision excavation (excavation depths range from 6 in. to 13 ft. BGS); off-site T&D of contaminated soils; site/property restoration; and extensive communication with the homeowners/landowners.
