Sevenson installs sheet pile and shoring systems based on site conditions for various applications

Sheeting and shoring systems are typically used for stability support during excavation and earthwork as well as to limit groundwater infiltration into excavation areas. Additionally, sheeting and shoring systems are also used for other applications including Confined Disposal Facility construction, water body isolation to facilitate sediment removal “in the dry,” and cut-off walls to prevent contaminant migration.

Sevenson is experienced at installing sheet pile and shoring systems using a variety of pile driving methods and equipment, including vibratory hammers, impact hammers, and, where site infrastructure is sensitive to vibrations, the Giken Silent Piler. Sevenson developed the patented SEAL Wall System as an alternative to other steel sheeting systems available in the marketplace. Sevenson’s SEAL system is a low-permeability cut-off wall that can be constructed using commercially available sheet piling. Steel sheets are shop welded into double-width sections and modified to provide a bentonite (or other) seal at field interlocks.

Sheet pile and shoring systems that we have installed on other remedial action sites include:

• Steel sheet piling
• H and I-beam Shoring
• Secant Pile Walls
• Timber Lagging Walls
• Hydraulic Shoring
• Trench Boxes
• Slide Rail Systems
• Open Cell Sheet Pile™
